New Style
I draw people allot... portraits of the strange individuals in my mind and of musicians and anybody who looks interesting in a black and white photo... I'm getting bored with this. So I'm starting some abstract paintings each involving human expression and feeling. I'll have some pics up soon.

Pieces by Cody Mead on exhibit in the breezeway
Pieces by Cody Mead on exhibit in the breezeway!

These are the 3 paintings that I had on display for about half of school year in the breezeway which connects the Junior and Senior High Schools. I got two walls all to myself!
Throughout the year, when I'd walk through the breeze way on Tuesdays and Thursdays to attend my 9th grade Art class, I really enjoyed seeing other students stair at these pieces. I've since donated the Iwo Jima painting (far right) to the Mr. Sones (U.S. History Teacher) on the condition that he keeps it on display in his history class room. I've also donated a larger than life portrait of Big Brother to Mr. Moser (English), and a gorgeous painting of Marilyn Monroe to the SGA. The Marilyn Monroe Portrait is now on permanent display near the Junior High Office, along with several other paintings donated by other artists throughout the years.
Art is my life, all forms of Art. If I can make a career off of my art... I will never have to work! I'll be doing only what I love most!

More of My Art.

Here are some more of my pieces; because we don't have a scanner anymore, these pictures are all about a year old. However, compared to some of the other pieces I made at that time, they're pretty good. I don't have any photos of my really big pieces though; if I can get some, once I have access to them that is, I will upload them and post them in a blog. The school owns almost all of my really good pieces. I hope you like these!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm starting a series on actors and actresses, it's something new, since usually all my drawing is just from my imagination. I've finished the first two pieces in the series: Marilyn Monroe and James Marsden, and they are absolutely phenomenal, passing even my own expectations!
Again, thanks for viewing!
